i did this on a thinkpad x20 before i had the ultrabase (i.e., no floppy and no cd). loadlin will be your friend. follow the directions from: http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch-rescue-boot.en.html#s-install-drive > > I would be glad about any comments regarding that situation.
