Hi,
#394193 includes a patch that would enable udev and the MD subsystem
to play well with each other. I have not tested it yet though, so
I am relying on Marco's and Neil's judgements.
Under what conditions could that patch be included in etch's
kernels? Neil wants to get it into upstream, but t

Other kernel images are also affected by this bug. I tried to remove
a custom image compiled with the kernel-package and an older standard
debian kernel image, both with the same error. Removal does work,

Hi,
just a small reminder that etch still has no 64bit kernels for
i386. This is a regression from sarge which has them. The bug
(#379090) has a simple patch to reintroduce those kernel images (+5/-1
lines code change and the rest is config) for nearly 100 days without
a comment so far.

I just installed the Debian 2.6.18 kernel package and I noticed that it

According to Manoj in the logs to bug#394661, which was blocking this
bug and has since been closed, the bug was fixed in kernel-package
10.063. So I guess that all that is needed is a rebuild of the
kernels with a Build-Depends on a sufficiently recent kernel-package.
