I'm trying to build a module who's makefile looks for modpost in
/lib/modules/`uname -r/build/scripts/modpost
So what is *supposed* to happen? Nothing is consistent on 686, amd64,
and ppc kernels. How is this supposed to work, and what packages should
I be filing bugs against?

I've observed that upgrading from debian's 2.4.26 packages to 2.4.27
consistently causes realtime tasks (such as xmms decoding) to suffer
very badly.
(This is on a Thinkpad X20 with a 500MHz Celeron, not using realtime
priorit

I also had this problem. I upgraded from version 2.6.8-2
to 2.6.8-3 then things went incredibly slowly. I'm using
devfs. Could this be a problem?
