Package: kernel-image-2.4.27-1-686 Version: 2.4.27-2 Severity: normal
I've observed that upgrading from debian's 2.4.26 packages to 2.4.27 consistently causes realtime tasks (such as xmms decoding) to suffer very badly. (This is on a Thinkpad X20 with a 500MHz Celeron, not using realtime priority, xmms and esd niced at -10) -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux luminance.reworld.org 2.4.26-1-686 #3 Sun Apr 18 21:17:21 EST 2004 i686 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU Versions of packages kernel-image-2.4.27-1-686 depends on: ii coreutils [fileutils] 5.0.91-2 The GNU core utilities ii fileutils 4.1-10 GNU file management utilities ii initrd-tools 0.1.71 tools to create initrd image for p ii modutils 2.4.26-1 Linux module utilities -- no debconf information
