In kopete 0.8.0, I've noticed spell checking is notably missing. I
can't seem to find anything about this online, and I really miss
having flyspell-mode style spell checking in kopete...

The question may be trivial, still I don't quite get it. I have a couple
of events in my KOrganizer calendar and I'm using Kontact which
supposedly is showing "appointments" in the Summary view. Now, none of
my events are showing there and I don't see how to create appointments.

Hello,
I just dist-upgraded to the newest version of SID. There are some KDE3.2.1
packages in SID now (e.g. kdelibs4 and kdebase), but they are broken. I still
could boot KDE, but I could not start any KDE applications anymore. I also

Hi,
I have just upgraded my KDE 3.1.5 to 3.2.1 without problems ( even I
have more entries in the K menu ), perhaps you lack some packages this
is what I have:
ii kappfinder 3.2.1-1 KDE Application Finder
ii kate3.
Hi,

did you upgrade from 3.1?
Ciao,
Michael
Did you used the pre-3.2 packages ? If not, try to move away your .kde. I
had a lot of problems with my old config when I upgraded to the pre-3.2
packages.

still didn't work then it sounds like a setup

It's a pity I did not heard of it before. Unfortunately, since I'm pretty
close to my first usable release, I think I'll do it. But it's true that
joining our efforts would be a good thing to do. Thanks

Starting with yesterday's packages, the cursor over links in web pages
changes from a pointer to a text cursor. For me this is a misfeature as
I can no longer drag links around, but maybe there's some rationale
that I just don't see.

Most probably stability issues. I reported a kopete bug which consisted
of kopete freezing the heck out of X. After a long while, this seemed
to lead to the conclusion that the spellchecking plug-in was the
culprit. I disabled it in 0.7 and kopete stopped strangling X.
