I faced the same problem today. Installing gdm as window manager did the job for me - during the dpkg-configuration dialog I was able to choose between gdm and kdm as default window manager ... Hope that helps, Klaus -- Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Holler <gmx.at after kho4l@>
