I've upgraded a couple of boxen (one from 3.2.0, one from 3.1.4) and here's a couple common problems I've seen and the solutions that worked for me:
Empty KMenu: dpkg --force-depends -P kicker && dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/kicker_4% 3a3.2.1-1_i386.deb Logging into KDM gives you a borderless xterm: Before you login inside kdm, make sure to select your session type as KDE - the dist-upgrade wipes the kdmrc, and the default seems to be 'failsafe' which is the lone xterm thing. Various package breakage while dist-upgrading: Just run dist-upgrade a few more times. After I ran it 5 times, there were no more errors. I didn't do anything else special.
