I regularly use rename(1) and miss it on non-Debian systems. The fact perl
provides it currently doesn't matter to me (or I'd argue any end user)

Hi,
vlock has a RC bug (#702705). I was working on it and requesting help, without
success.
The bug seems to be in kernel, not in vlock. But vlock was removed from testing.
I sent a patch, and Bastien sent other patch, but these patches doesn't solve
the problem, only mitigate it.
