Yes, I use GBK locale. It is as same as GB.2312. I'm gonna try to update

No, I am not sure about the detail of the UTF fonts. I use gnome 1.4
apps in gnome 2.0 without any problem. But I've never tried to run gnome
2.0 apps in gnome 1.4.
Did you generate the zh_CN.gb2312 locale?

I read this file /etc/pango/pangox.aliases and found out which$
fontset to use, then I chose menu$
"application->desktop preference->fonts" to set up my font.$

2.0使用Pango，我不太清楚gtk的字体设置文件改放在什么地方，Gnome 1.4是在
/etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_CN。
