t kinds of "updates", e.g. you can update
from a set of CD images to one DVD image, without downloading all the
package data again.
- jigdo updates still work fine in case your old CD has read errors.

efore someone starts downloading an image, they can
view some statistics about the image they're about to download. For
example, if for the last 24 hours, no one was able to download the image,
it would be safe to say that the file is broken.

Richard

http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/#whichunoff mentions that DVDs cannot be

r does it fetch the full ISO images everytime?
Yes; it assumes that the individual packages can be retrieved very fast.

Apart from the above points, yes.

IMHO, definitely - it's been a very long time since I last saw 650 MB

the Debian 0.7.1-3 package.
The problem appears to be that if '[' needs to be matched in a list of
characters inside a regexp, then [x[] will not work to match both 'x' and
'['. Instead, it needs to be [[x], i.e. the '[' must come first.

the .template

The template md5sum is there to catch this situation; an attempt to use a
.jigdo file with a wrong .template file would lead to lots of problems.

Anyway, who made the bittorrent page? Seems they're still busy on it, or
messed something up - the link on /CD/ to /CD/torrent-cd doesn't work.

People are currently working on switching over the CD build process to use
some new code, as one of the preparations towards producing full CDs with
the new Debian installer. The weekly builds will continue once everything
works!
