Sorry about the problems! Please try the .jigdo files at http://people.debian.org/~atterer/woody/jigdo-area/3.0_r2/jigdo/ The "corrupt kernel" message could be due to a badly written CD-R. Maybe just writing the .iso to another CD-R would help.
