It seems that the bug is fixed in 1.19-1, because I can't reproduce it
any longer.
I suspect that I forget to recreate the backup with the new version when
I checked it the last time, so I ran the new version with the data of
the old one.

mailboxes around panes (although it could be done with drag&drop

MTA is supposed to preserve the mtime, since "new mail" is defined with
"mtime > atime".
I should check atime as well to see if a mailbox has been modified.
