I'm also experienced this bug. gnome-terminal also crashed. I didn't
understand what was the origin of the problem.

Here it is new patch. Now Sky, Light and Grey themes looks like before
and no annoying messages appear.

OK, from the source code of Murrine engine I found that highlight_shade
= hilight_ratio/0.909090. Changing the numbers seems to be helpful. In
some time I'll post new patch for broken themes.

I explore this bug and GNOME bug [1]. It seemes like it is the same.
After rebooting the machine all works fine? both using gconftool-2 tool

This problem was solved. Wrong schema was set in gconf. Unapplying that
solved the problem:

In newly upgraded from Etch to Lenny system with GNOME I can't change wallpaper.

And there is mimeinfo.cache after thunar removal.
