Hi,
task_prepareapt is (IMO) unneccessarily run during softupdates.
This is bad, as it overwrites (and corrupts) /etc/hosts, /etc/resolv.conf is
"only" overwritten.
fcopy could really allow more control here.

Hi,
it's even worse ;-) That patch doesnt work at all as $FAI_ACTION is not
defined when defining the classes ;-)
It'll have to go into /usr/sbin/fai or /usr/bin/fai-class directly.
An ugly workaround in 10-base-classes would be
# define a class named after $FAI_ACTION
[ $ROOTCMD ] && echo "FA
For the record, I tried fixing this using the attached patch. It doesn't
work very well because
a) the modules.conf gets gummed up with all these ugly and useless
parameters to all modules
b) ide-core is not explicitly modprobed anyway, it's pulled in by deps,
so AFAIK it never sees the opt

/usr/include/gps.h refers to a gpsutils.h, but gpsutils.h is not

easily fixed in the package.

I launched gcc-4.0 compilation by apt-src from Sid source.
I used libcairo1-dev_0.4.0-1_i386.deb, libpixman1-dev_0.1.5-1_i386.deb

There may be some people that will set FAI_ACTION in a scripts
/fai/*.var (this was used in LAST.var until fai 2.5.1), because they
do not use DHCP or pxelinux.cfg for setting the action. Since *.var
will be executed after defining classes, the patch will fail in these
environments.
