I enter the size 2 GB in MB, so 2048 MB it creates a partition of 2
GB, so I think there exists a bug at this point and I would
assume a reopening of this bug report makes sense.
Thanks and kind regards

I've done about six further installations. Everytime the Xircom PCMCIA
network card (REM56G-100) is used, the network card worked during the
initial installation process, didn't work after the first reboot (so during
the installation part that follows) and after all following reboots works.

I've done some further testing according to your suggestions and it was
successful. With the images I tested when I sent my last update (latest
version was from May 26th 2004) even an ifup/ifdown didn't solve the issue
with the Xircom REM56G-100 and an /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart also didn't

I've found one additional thing when doing a testinstallation some
minutes ago. When the base-config is completed (in german for example)
and no reboot is done and then base-config is started again manually
it will run in english and not in the selected language.

Seems I said to early that it is working fine now. With the daily
build from June 14th that I downloaded and tested today, the issue is
there again (for the REM56G-100). I checked syslog and the same

Yes, it depends on the build I use. But with all the daily builds of
debian installer I recently used, this problem didn't come up again.
So I think this bug can be

This problem did not reappear with the daily builds I tested recently
so I assume that this bug is solved.
I think this bug should be closed.
