The reason I want to install woody is because I need X version 4.x for my
video card.
I am happy to help test woody's install, but if there is a better way for
my to install debian with X version 4.x I'll do that.

when the problem occurs,
as the error message appears instantly after I press ``Enter''.
The network connection should take a little bit more, I think.
I tried to find such a Release file by ``find / -name Release'', but
it didn't find it.
Anyway, where should I find the down
ssage in the various downloading attempts I had,
but I got it only after *erased* the two files!
7. I executed a shell once again, but this time too: no Release file found.
8. Attempts to continue the installation at this stage fail and result in
the ``Malformed Release file'

3. There is no kernel source package for 2.2.17 on woody!
Did I miss anything here?
Some more weird stuff:
kernel-patch-2.2.17-pc9800
kernel-patch-2.2.17-vm-global
exist in woody, even though there is no kernel source
for 2.2.17 to patch against ...
