Known bug, should be fixed for beta 2. We're a bit unsure as of how to do
this best, though. :-)

Hello,
I am working on the aboot-package, which got bug #173016 assigned to it.
There seems to be some yet unreleased aboot-installer-package to which
the bug really belongs. Since the patch (by coincidence also from me) in
#173016 is probably out of date (c.f. bug #218208 which has a similar

I was eager to try the new installer for sarge, and I also had to do
an install on a Dell Brio (Celeron 733MHz, a couple of years old). So
I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. I downloaded
sarge-i386-netinst-iso from gluck on November 11th and burned it to
CD.
I got nowhere at all,

FYI:
Usually there is no problem to boot GNU/Linux with this old
computer (e.g. Woody, Knoppix, RH, et. al.). However, the new
network installer (beta 9 November) does not recognize the CDROM
(/dev/hdd). Also, the boot diskette does not recognize the CDROM :(

Hello All,
What CD iso disk image do I use to install: Debian 3.0r1 ,bf2.4 for
my Alpha Multia?
The i386 distro is labeled. Is the alpha cd's the same? I am still
playing with my DEC Multia and would like some of the 2.4 features on this
little server. WiFi to name one of them.
