Dear Maintainer,
When installing Debian Unstable from mini-iso the manual partitioner does not
allow you to select which disk to partition. It would only allow me to
partition the flash drive from which I booted the installe
ev/dm-0 is created,
but neither /dev/mapper/mpatha or /dev/mapper/wwid is created, and that is
the reason the install stops, and I have not found a way around it.
Which piece of software should create the missing dev files ?

I looked into this a little more, and the missing lib should be in
multipath-udeb, I have made a bugreport for this.

I am trying to install debian for the first time. I downloaded debian-amd64
5.04 installer images and made DVDs.
I booted with disk one in the DVD drive. Early on in the process, the
installer says "No common CD-ROM was detected".
I worked around this by taking the DVD out of the DVD drive,
ng new packages. A configuration in d-i maybe?
