I may be wrong. But I have a similar problem. My setup is: Gigabyte 8I875
with
hda: Maxtor 6Y160PO 160GB PATA disk
hdc: HL-DL-ST GSA-4081B DVD-RAM drive
hdd: Yamaha CRW-F1E CD-R/RW drive
If the machine is "warm", frequently only LG drive has a trouble.
