Oh no! I am an happy user of this! What's the rationale for dropping it?
Is there anything I help with to bring the loader back for the final
installer release?
BTW, thanks
.
The problem comes either with the graphical install and the expert install;
however if I remove the VGA=788 parameter from the boot line the expert install
screen is ok.
Didn't test the graphical install without this parameter.
I'm using a Radeon Vega 56 gpu.

I'm trying to install Debian on my PC but with the parameter VGA=788 the
screen is corrupted and unreadable both in text mode and in graphical mode.
My graphic card is an AMD Vega56.

Dear Maintainer,
during expert install partman does not start due to a syntax error on
/lib/partman/lib/zfs-base.sh at line 65;
at that line a round bracket is missing: after adding it, partman starts and
installation completes success
hen I click on "Install"
(both graphical and textual) the screen becomes black and I can't do nothing. I
confirm that the same cd work when booting whitout EFI.

I wish to point to another use case where gub installation fails miserably.
In installing an HP DL360G7 I had to use an USB stick as the installation

se where to install the boot loader for those cases, since more and more

Hi,
The problem was in the fact that sda was prevoiusly part of a software (mdadm)
array, and the installer recognized it somehow, locking its access.
I solved the issue with mdadm --stop /dev/md0; mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sda
Thanks for the assistance.
