My opinion is that task-kde-desktop is the wrong place to make this request since tasksel is somewhat uncontrolled by the Debian Qt/KDE Maintainers. Instead, you should make your request against kde-standard (part of meta-kde). I consider it a bug that task-gnome-desktop is pulling in synaptic. I'
