Note the "might be" words I typed before...

Synaptic that you cannot do with Discover, it's OK to have to install
Synaptic in the process… which you can easily do from Discover.

The main reason I opened this ticket is because Plasma Discover is unable
to find Synaptic at the first place, so we are back to the initial
problem... https://i.imgur.com/K7LHHKj.png Also this:
https://wiki.debian.org/Synaptic#Installation "Synaptic is installed by
default in Debian if you choose the desktop task. Else, install the
synaptic package."

I've chosen the desktop task for KDE, but surprisingly synaptic wasn't
installed, so the article might be outdated and/or misleading (just a
feedback)

a strong opinion in the other direction.

I think I've explained my arguments clearly, and I won't be able to explain
them any better than this. I tried to be helpful here to add some
"seasoning" to the user experience out of the box... :P

I'll let the ticket go on its way however you guys decide to, you can
redirect the ticket if you want (as Jeremy mentioned "meta-kde"), or close
it down - it's all up to you.
