partitioning of my single ide drive in lvm. Told it to use the whole
disk. I got the following in the partition summary menu:

I can reproduce this bug using a netboot image on i386. It happens
whether the image is built containing the udebs in testing or those in
unstable. I suspect this is really a bug in libdebian-installer.

Hmmm. I looks like it is the 'basic-desktop' task. This installs the
x-window-system package which depends on xdm.
So this would happen to users who select _both_ the 'basic-desktop
