According to vorlon on irc, the install code contains no Gnome code, so this is
an upstream problem.
Tried "apt-get install gnome-session", after apt-get different errors were
received. Seems like very little of the gnome system was installed.

None of this is visible at the default priority, which base-config will

least building again. I've committed a fix to debian-cd CVS, so that
manty's next daily CD build should boot cleanly from SRM without any
fiddling.
Though there seemed to be some hardware problems while trying to find my

I tried to install Debian on a laptop with a Xircom PCMCIA
network card using the Sarge netinst CD of today. Autodetection
of the NIC did not work, but I could manually specify the
network driver to load (xircom_cb). The problem is:

1. it uses only the package name for identification within the hash
table. (in future we may have equal packages in different archs at
the same time, e.g. i386 and amd64)

After downloading Debian V3.0 r1 (Woody) and burning to CDROM I booted to
the Install CD. At the very start I got an error - 'Disk Error 32 drive 9F'.
