Well, as you can see from my last install report, the alpha port is at least building again. I've committed a fix to debian-cd CVS, so that manty's next daily CD build should boot cleanly from SRM without any fiddling.
Though there seemed to be some hardware problems while trying to find my CD-ROM that were showstoppers for me, it's possible others will have better luck with different hardware; so I would welcome others to give these a try (after tomorrow maybe, once the aboot.conf is cleaned up).
