Search for accessibility in debian wiki and read down through the
categories. Console is one and graphical is another.

Hi.
I've got a problem with espeakup
I've installed it in debian.
Now I get an error code 5 every time I try to inst
The reason I did the work on writing the article I wrote on wifi
configuration for command line installs is not because command line does
not configure wifi if that's all it can find. It's because the
installer temporarily configures wifi long enough to install packages
then wipes out necessary in

Okay, I tried this two different ways and had failures in all cases.
First thing to understand was that mini.iso allowed me to use my usb
speakers to install in all cases.
Cases were package selections of 1 2 6 10 12 and the second case only
had 12 for package selections. On completion the usb spe
I'm on bare metal only and have two sound cards both of which were
detected, I ought to have included that in my earlier failure message.

An idea, for anyone trying an install with mini.iso. While in the
installer execute a shell near the beginning of install and examine the
contents of /etc/asound.conf then repeat the execute a shell near the

I routinely pause espeak using the less than key before disk formatting
happens since I prefer to do an install from the numbered menu and the
reason for that is to log install and move question priority from 3 to 4
so I can have the installer put the non-free packages in for me and
eventually exec
I'm curious. If I put a debian iso on a flash drive can I put a second
file on that flash drive with a boot parameter or two in it which the iso
will find when booted and use? I'm asking this since I'm trying to help a
friend remotely to rescue his hard drive and both of us at best have
infrequen
m the hard drive and start an accessible linux DVD up
on his computer and once that DVD is booting up put the power back into
his hard drive.

Computer education in America is seriously deficient. As things stand my
friend had never opened a computer up before and nobody had showed him
what the parts were inside of one. This would be easier if he had that
background. On Fri, 31 May 2019, Cindy Sue Causey wrote:

Debian makes no sound when the boot prompt comes up. So in my case I'd
never know when the boot prompt came up and couldn't enable speech.

That should work then. Maybe I can put a flash drive together and mail
it.

Shouldn't speakup install be delayed until after sound initialization
completes?
