While we can perhaps be somewhat more liberal about deadlines etc. if
we're not paying for accommodation ourselves, it's unfair on our
accommodation sponsor to simply jump from that to "anything goes".

DebConf12 team, take note. When the global team is prodding on lots
of little details about when we need to know things by, it's usually
for a reason. I burned a lot of goodwill trying to prod on this kind
of stuff, with the answer being "oh it will be fine".
