Vincent,
Chris Dearborn is working on the Quantum barclamp. He has committed a
pull-request that fixes a bug and he expects to have the work completed by end
of day today.

Team,
There are a lot of moving parts and we need to avoid stepping over each other.
We have 6 independent chunks of work:
1. Open sourcing Dell RAID barclamp
2. Open sourcing Dell BIOS barclamp
3. Conversion of all OS barclamp to use database one and deprecating
MySQL one.
4
As discussed with various parties in IM --but to let the whole team know-- we
need an ISO to smoke (and pass) the changes made to RAID before we branch
Hadoop. Please, please, please: let that be the only churn we need to absorb.
Thanks,
JiMC

Vincent, you cannot have both database and MySQL barclamps at the same time.
All OS barclamps are dependent on MySQL.
And we need to do the whole change to database one in one swoop.
Current Pebble is really not functional (cannot run smoke test)
This is true for all.
ETA for database conversion i
Thanks for staying in later!!!

I could be wrong but I think he was suggesting having two parallel
branches for a short period of time.

I know, and I said I understand the
Adam and Vincent,
I fully understand and appreciate your suggestion.
The real question is how to handle major code refactoring that affects all
barclamps (in this case OS ones).
Testing of refactoring takes a long time (multiple days). Every time a change
happens to any barclamp the long poll te
All,
I have been trying to get the quantum barclamp to deploy in the database
barclamp context, but haven't succeeded, yet. The keystone, glance, and cinder*
barclamps seem to deploy fine, but there are several issue for the quantum. I
know the following is a little confusing, sorry...
