Thanks Raymond. I will pass on stove with oven, but would appreciate your
comments on this type of alcohol stove that uses canisters.

Agree with Bob. Have raced Falcon in 30+ with gusts over 40 screaming in joy
and with be boat on her feet and driving like no tomorrow. Reefed main and
full 155 genny up. As indicated she is shy of 29 and needs waterline for speed.

On my 29-2, first step is to depower main by bringing traveler up and twisting
off top. Crew plays the traveler to keep boat on its feet and ready to blow
the main sheet if needed. Skipper feathers when necessary to keep boat on its
feet. Next is to depower the genny by bringing leads aft.
With genny cars back and hard trimmed to weather you will have a bubble in the
main.

I have to chuckle a bit in that my post re Poli-Glow has elicited a flood of
discussion and my post re tuning my rig has (finally) received one response.
Thanks to you all and especially to Bob for the reply on tuning.

Thanks for the guidance, STU!!! I will post some basic details re Falcon. I
love the C&C29-2, especially as a former dingy sailor. To me, it is an
overgrown Thistle, but has to be sailed with heel to increase her waterline and
speed, but never-the-less handled in ways familiar to competitive d
Quite a bit a discussion a while back re replacement of impeller in Yanmar

Thanks to all for your excellent suggestions. As was mentioned, the 29-2 can
get a bit squirrelly when things build to 15 or above and, as a primarily genny
driven boat, is a blast and a real lady if one prudently and timely reefs the
main. I have had her out in 40+ with good crew and had her

Tim,
My 1985 29-2 is rigged with two internal halyards to the masthead: Main and

I know I need to get up there and look close and personal, but thought I would

Or have a very resourceful PO who plumbed in circuit with a valve and hose
connection that enables one to close off the the outside intake, connect hose
to outside water source, open the valve in the plumbed in circuit and run the
engine quite merrily in minutes.

This has been done on this boat for years. You just need to be prudent.
However, it still makes it easy to do the bucket thing, as well.
