Thanks for the guidance, STU!!! I will post some basic details re Falcon. I
love the C&C29-2, especially as a former dingy sailor. To me, it is an
overgrown Thistle, but has to be sailed with heel to increase her waterline and
speed, but never-the-less handled in ways familiar to competitive dinghy
sailors. In Thistles flat is fast. In the C&C29-2 ya gotta temper the heel
with the fact the blade out of the water is an immediate reversal in direction.
Only keel boat I have sailed in which you do not broach, you swap north for
south with great immediacy. Could be a marvelous circus act if you do not
break to much equipment.

I have a great admiration for how this site is run. Gonna miss you guys as I
move to my new boat. Moving to a Catalina 30 tall rig for several reasons,
including it belonged to a member of my club and has a marvelous history of
maintenance. I remain very attached to C&C's and the quality of the line. I
hope Falcon goes to a worthy owner. Previously, I was a dinghy sailor and the
spirit and sailing qualities of the 29-2 were near and dear to me. Have new
physical limitations and desire to get more into cruising with limited club
racing and the Cat 30 will suit that well. Thinking of getting a Filipino
steward to serve cocktails.

Cheers,
John McLaughlin
