I would tighten the bolts before anything else. Dropping the keel could range
from easy to a huge PITA depending on corrosion issues and previous attempts to
seal the joint.

This is absolutely nothing new at all!
I was a Raytheon dealer back in the day and they were always pulling crap like
this. Their XX radar series was supposed to transfer a target from radar to
chart plotter (back when this was a brand new idea). I sold a radar and plotter

I don’t know about your engine, but with my old 300D Mercedes in the winter I
would add 1 gallon of gasoline to a tank of diesel. I am not sure modern
engines will tolerate this, but the old car liked it.
As to the rest: If the ONLY issue is water, a good fuel polishing machine will
get it. The
Get a big bucket of vinegar and a bunch of cheap vinegar from the dollar store.
Run it through the engine a few times. Salt and minerals plate out inside the
engine and insulate the block from the water. I did this yearly when I had a

For everyone that has a diesel engine retrofit:
1. What engine?
2. Did it fit on the standard engine bed?
3. What prop?
4. Are you using the original strut?
THANKS

FYI:
My furling genoa is about 95% used up. I have been looking for one for about 3
years now and no luck. NO ONE is getting rid of a nice furling genoa unless the
boat sank. Racing sails – plenty of them. If the sail is the wrong size or it
needs a cover, you are looking at $500 minimum to get
I took my new filler and empty CNG tank to the CNG fuel station at BWI. It did
not start off well. The fill hose is very stiff, it is like fighting with a
barely flexible pipe more than a hose. The filler kept blowing back off the
tank and would NOT stay on. I was very frustrated when I noticed
AFAIK best practice for a diesel is 10 microns before the fuel pump and 2
microns on the engine after the fuel pump. Passagemaker had a series of
articles on this.

I used a total of ½" aluminum on mine when I rebuilt it. It looks about 20

I always thought Monel was the most corrosion-proof type of metal to be had. I
can tell you my fresh water system benefits hugely from putting the whole
bottle of Clorox in once a year, flushing it through, and adding a little bit
with every fill. I have fiberglass tanks. We still don’t dri
Just did some Google-Fu and Monel might not be especially good with chlorine.

Two things come to mind, one is the bow pulpit looks bent and the second is
outside of cardboard, I cannot image a worse material for a holding tank then
