I was convinced my old Raritan water heater was leaking.after a
close inspection yesterday with the assistance of a mechanic familiar
with these issues, we concluded it was not leaking. The wooden platform
it sits on was dry, pressure valve outlet dry, valve to empty the tank
on the bottom
Does anyone have a source for marine grade euro style connectors like this:

I find lots of non-marine grade but no tinned connectors.

I have found them on Amazon and FleaBay. I am not a huge fan, the quality is
variable. They are nice for experiments where you will be rearranging things.

There is a hose on my relief valve that directs any water from it to the
bilge.I will place a container under the hose to see if catches any
water.

When pressing in a new lip seal there are a couple of things to look for.
first make sure the seal is orientated correctly, the open side (side with
spring) should face the liquid
second I use a socket that covers the seal completely, I invert the socket
and then insert an extension and driv

You can use _water soluble markers_ to make lines in strategic places. If water
leaks over them, it will show.

The T&P (relief) valves are supposed to be tested on a certain frequency.
If you've never heard of water heater rocket launching you should look it
up. It happens as a result of the T&P getting clogged or stuck shut and
then the thermostat getting stuck on.
