You want Cruiser's Forum.
Like any list, it's got its share of crankpots and armchair sailors,
but overall it's a fabulous resource for cruisers. Way better, imho,
than things like Sailnet.
It also has incredible reach (social networking?) within the cruising
community. For example, la

I'm with Ian on this.
There seems to something for every type of sailing and every geography
out there right now, so it's not clear that there's a huge latent
demand for new sailing websites.
That said, if you're looking to build something as a hobby, knock
yourself out and have fun with it
