I'm with Ian on this.

There seems to something for every type of sailing and every geography
out there right now, so it's not clear that there's a huge latent
demand for new sailing websites.

That said, if you're looking to build something as a hobby, knock
yourself out and have fun with it.  If you're thinking of it as a
business, be careful.
