I was struck by the fact that with the chute up, the bobstay was constantly
throwing up spray which to me means it is like adding a brake to the bow.
Probably not a big issue on a boat of this size, but on a dinghy it would be
slow. On another boat, the entire crew was standing near the trans
original C&C 30s.

Ron,
No, we are not too old to sail one of these new C&C 30 sport
boats.we are too old to own and campaign one.
But I do agree with you, I'd rather be 'in' the boat than 'on' the boat!

The
attached video was included in a post from a sailing TV website this morning. I
have to say I’m impressed to see so many C&C 30s on the line, and the

I have shipped 6 of these C&C 30 OD boats to Japan this year with more
expected to ship in 2016. We have shipped a number of them to Europe as
well. This is one hot boat and has taken off internationally.

And pretty athletic for this fat old man. But impressive none the less.
Great video. I have a 27 V and it is nice to see one sailed so well. I wish I
had a crew that could tack that smoothly. What boat finished first? What do
you use for a main sail. I will probably get one next season. I just added a

Search the archives for Eric Haberfelner's (Arioso) submissions on this.
As a long time lister. you'll remember those videos. And they were
