Hi David, I'm with Josh on this.
We had ours taken to the gelcoat last spring as well (Apparently the 1st
time ever on my boat..) it had the original old style tar looking barrier
coat stuff which had peeled off in multiple places.. The only sign of a
possible blister was one little pin-pri
Engine paint and yes lots of older boats with no barrier coat and no
problems

to the engine, wiring, belts, hoses, etc. When I get around to it I'll
get the engine warm and use a degreaser (maybe just 409) then rinse it
off. The warm engine will dry quickly and be ready for more indiscriminate
