No matter what boat you are considering, it is likely that it will at least have a cored deck. IMO there is a better chance something is wrong with the deck than with the hull. Few if any modifications are made to the hull by the POs. The decks OTOH have likely had all types of additions and mod

What about rebuilding it? Smiths clear penetrating epoxy and wood filler can yield some pretty amazing results. Coat the whole thing in epoxy for a final coat. In the off season you can mix up a big batch an let it soak in real long. Like a couple days long. Then let it cure even longer. Josh
