I have what appears to be an original circa 1999 Cold Machine. The
compressor runs and cycles off for very short periods. Sometimes the
temperature is perfect at 34-38 for days on end, then then other times it
will stay in the high 40's - low 50's. Shutting it off and letting it sit

Most of you probably know this but for those who have not experienced night
mode, it can be confusing. The areas that are light/bright become dark and
vise versa. This could make navigation confusing if one is unaware of the
change or not accustomed to it.

I can start my 2gm20f after changing the racor filter without bleeding.
Not true for the Yanmar filter on the engine. I always have to bleed at
the filter but generally not at the injectors. I say generally because

cheap, reliable, LED headlamps.
My current boat has a deck light under the steaming light and I don't use

is your best friend, you need "Current" predictions, they do not run on
schedule with the tide like Narragansett Bay seems to. It can through a

If your boom has not been raised, there may a pretty steep angle for a boom
vang. The previous owner of my boat raced it extensively and did well
without one.

The older models were not designed with vertical running rigging loads at
the center of the cabin roof. There were horizontal loads leading from
inside the mast to winches at the base of the mast
Later models had halyard, reefing, etc blocks attached to the cabin
I was hauled at Port Annapolis when I bought my boat.
I cannot comment on their workmanship as I did everything myself but launch
the boat. The staff was pleasant and the yard seemed busy and
professional. Lots of cruising boats on the hard with home ports from all
over.

with a 5 ft draft.
My budget most likely will not allow for a long delivery. So I'm looking
at boats located in the Chesapeake to Maine, on the East Coast.
I'd also consider a CS 34 or 36 with the transom step.

I used 1.5 - 2 gallons on my 30MKI
Depending on the year and how much of the old stuff I took off.
Two good coats and a third on the waterline and leading edges of the
keel/hull/ruddder would still be less than two gallons on Ultra.
That paint worked out great for me. I switched to petit because

It's calcium. At your age you need all the calcium you can get.
OK... mild acid, maybe even vinegar, should reduce the little discs to
goop. I would start with a $3 gallon of vinigar mixed with dish soap so it
sticks a bit, then go from there.

little colander screwed to the outside of the hull.
My Yanmar has the 90 degree elbow, internal strainer, no pasta strainer on

i also had good luck with the energizer headlamps with the red light. I
think I found a 4 pack cheap someplace. Better than my $40 unit. I leave
them in convienent spots around the boat. Issue them to overnight

Yanmar 3gm has no glow plug, correct? More cranking amps might mean faster
cranking in the spring and late fall. My 2gm does better in cold weather
with a faster crank. I'm on a mooring as you are and I feel it makes a

That's a lot of engine for a 29ft boat. The A-4 only put out About 18hp at
the RPM that it probably generated pushing your boat.
My yanmar 2gm20f seems to have more power than my A-4 did

Hello All,
I have an '89 30 MKII. It has what I believe to be the original fuel tank.
The tank has two access ports. They look like they may have been added, but
could be original, not sure.
Both ports are held closed with machine screws. The aft port does not leak
and I have yet to remove it.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this...
The stern of a displacement hull vessel will begin to submerge as you
approach hull speed. It's settling into the trough of its own wake(s).
Even kayaks do it.
Someone told me a long time ago that a displacement vessel could

Yanmar 2GM20 issue involving the starter relay. IF this is your problem, it
won't be fixed without installing a second relay.
