Personal experience ,I have had 2 Fram oil filters blow apart at the rolled
seam .Fortunately I discovered the puddle of oil before driving away .
First time was on a Chev Cavalier ,second time on a Altima
There will never be a 3rd time

We run a small fleet of boats ,both sail and power .and after a directive from
Accounting we switched to regular grade fuel Maintenance costs soared by 30%
cleaning fuel systems and disposal of "bad gas".
This of course does not include lost revenue and labour costs to recover
disabled boats
Try Atkins and Hoyle ,they rebuild hatches and will sell you the gasket and the
glue

I stripped the entire hull down to gel coat and epoxy primed it with 2 sprayed
coats .
Painted to the water line with 2part perfection (white)
Then painted the red bootstripe ( also Perfection) over the the white.
Will is right, paint manufactures do know their products !
Is your boat painted or
I used to use Brightsides and redid the boots stripe yearly .
Changed 3 years ago when I painted the boat and did the boots stripe in 2 part
Interlux Perfection .
I haven't had to redo the stripe since .I would strongly suggest switching to a
2 part paint ,in the end the added work to apply is mo

The idea is right but I question the use of fibreglass panels .
I did my cutlass bearing and prop is past spring ,I used 3/8" steel plate

It s more than likely the switch itself, they have a bad habit of becoming flaky
Check the ,connections on the switch .try shorting ( bypass the switch)the
wires at the switch and see if the starter works better
