I use ammonia (+TSP if there is a lot of grunge) as first steps of interior teak prep. Might take 6-7-8 applications to get the teak almost ready. Final prep I use 220 or 320 grit on a random orbital sander or sand by hand. I'm trying Minwax Valspar WATER based satin, semi-gloss and gloss to finish

I agree Joe. Savannah's creeks & old marinas are full of derelict sail boats. We used to have a vibrant large boat sailing community here and now we are down a few "rode hard, put up wet J Boats" and mixed bag of PHRF Boats whose owners would rather complain about their ratings rather clean and pa

I have a C&C33ii 1985. Great boat, goes like hell to windward, very easy to handle and just a pleasure to sail. Very few problems with most of these boats. You say moisture near the windows, but is that above or below the rail? 13k sounds like a lot of money for that repair depending on how big

Touche' is always for sale. Asking $300,000. :) But it is a good idea to be able to definitively show clear title just in case. No, I couldn't easily find the AOT I got in 1999. Rather than beat myself to death looking for an AOT which was incomplete, I just ordered another one, which then ca
