Jake My Navtec adjuster is probably an older unit than what you have. It came to me with the boat so I am guessing it is probably around 15 or more years old. It is an integral unit and the gage and knob for the relief valve are attached on opposite sides near the base of the square looking

Dwight, If you Navtec gauge is like mine (in a panel), it probably reads direct pressure, not the pressure exerted on the backstay. They would be the same if the piston area was 1 sq. inch, but otherwise the pressure times the piston area will give you the tension on the backstay. Jake

Chuck Alianna is ancient and therefore has wire rigging, the backstay, forestay and upper shrouds are 1x19, 9/32 which has a breaking strength around 1 lbs. Surprisingly my rather inexpensive Loos tension gage gives readings that are very close (+/- 100 lbs) to what the gage on my Navtec h

I run all water from the tanks through a whole-house size charcoal canister filter before the pump. I remove the cartridge when I winterize the boat and put a new one in in the spring after I have chased all the antifreeze out if the system. No taste issues that rum or scotch won't cover up. R

My boat is set up with both tanks for fresh, each tank has a shutoff and filter close to it... whereas your forward tank is black water I'd guess they would not bother make a loop up in the cupboard, and put the filter under the sink instead. Assuming Joel's is set up as yours, then yes - no
