I picked up a logitech 910 (ibelie). bit more expensive one but it worked pretty muvh out of the box on my wifes older ubuntu install(12.04?). sis-in-law even used it for an online interview over skype. cam can capture 720p & has 2 mounted mics that i think give pretty good sound On 13-06-24 12

I picked up a Genius F100 at Memory Express. The internal mike doesn't seem loud enough. Hopefully I can bypass that and use an external. There is a problem with the video and would like some advice. The speed of the video lags behind to the actual movements. Is this a problem with web cams or

More important than the speed is the make and model of the CPU. A 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 is not anywhere near the same class as a recent Core i3/i5/i7 (even compared to a single core). Clock speeds have not changed dramatically in the past 7 years, but performance sure has. Having said that, the lag

Since you say minimums are met, your performance should not seem slower. I would wonder more if the OS has been optimized? Do you know what video card you have and what driver? Most open source drivers I would think are capable of OK 2D acceleration. Maybe I am wrong here and someone else would l
