I have been using Adobe Digital Editions which installs in wine. That may help to solve the issue with the DRM filesassuming that the file itself is not corrupt. As well, you can use calibre to convert your amazon ebooks to epub (maybe others) after you have downloaded them t your comput

Calibre will read epub format books, so if it says that your file is corrupt then that is what the problem is. .mobi is only really supported by kindle, though I think that Calibre can convert that format into another. Like John, I have a preference for DRM free content, so I buy all of my techni
