uess I have 2 questions:
1 - Is mirrors.txt missing from the 0.71 tarball?
2 - Did I upgrade ClamAV incorrectly - I did a make / make install as
I had done previously - is there some other upgrade procedure?
Thanks for any assistan
tarball?
2 - Did I update ClamAV incorrectly?
If my problem was caused by question 2 - is what is the

With a major upgrade like that, it is strongly advised to uninstall the

Hi all,
I did try posting this morning about this, but nothing has
come back to my address off the list yet after subscribing, so here
goes again.
I have been running ClamAV (0.65) for some time without issue
until last week
it set in the Amavis-new config? Any assistance much
appreciated.

Clam doesn't reject anything. It just scans and returns a result.

Hi again,
Since upgrading to ClamAV 0.71 (& just prior to that the
latest version of Amavis-new), I notice that our server is now
rejecting certain attachments it didn't under ClamAV 0.65,
thought a make
uninstall would rid the system of the old stuff - can anyone
enlighten me please.

You will have to remove the old version manually in this case.
Hi again,
Thanks for the info - removing all instances of Freshclam did
indeed fix things up & then did a reinstall.

Bye for now,
dvised to
do a complete uninstall & then reinstall, which got everything but
freshclam updating going. I then had to manually remove freshclam & I
uninstalled the lot prior to a complete reinstall - that got
everything working as expected. Hope that help
owners as well. Look for the Spam & virus
filtering one - you may also like to check out the one for adding RBL
blocking while you're there - it's also for Postfix. Hope that's of
some use.

it gets delivered to it's final destination.
However, you may wish to use only a scanning function, but
that should let you know what you might want to do with ClamAV.
ink I'll still be ablt to use ProcMail for the business mail rules.
Thanks again,

rver have ClamAV
already installed for use under the onboard Postfix? If I am right,
probably the Mac OSX admin list might be the best for advice on this
