Hello,
I installed ClamAv V.0.70-rc on my redhat 8 box. It updates

Hi
Ender,
Yes
you must update the clamav.
I am
doing it myself for the first time, beginner like you, but I use FreeBSD so I do
not know how to do it with redhat but I think you do it with an rpm manager or
download the rpm from clams site and install like new. But I bow

Hi,
I am using Clamav on a pretty old libc5 system.
Compiling without libgmp works, clamscan and freshclam works.
Clamd also starts but does not scan anything. Strace on clamd reveals
this when using clamdscan:
13:01:21 gettimeofday({1082977281, 214557}, NULL) = 0
13:01:21 time([1082977281])
Thank you all for helps. The warning messages do not come anymore...

just a word of advice for the future.i'd have put symlinks in the
