restarted everything and all's well. I now have a main.cvd and I've
removed the viruses.db file. Oddly enough freshclam downloaded a
mirrors.txt when I restarted freshclam. Anyhow, it looks to be workin

Now that I'm looking at the configure --help output I see that --with-db*
renames their respective db. I know I read that somewhere in the list
archives or in a howto. I'll change that

anything newer seems to fail with the same error. YMMV of course. I
can't upgrade beyond 20040103-fixed until I figure out what's broken.

I'm seeing the same thing here using MIMEdefang 2.36, and ClamAV 0.60.
Uncompressed files get caught, but ZIP's do not. I've run 'clamscan'
manually on ZIP files, and it works fine.
So you're not the only one seeing this -- I've reinstalled everything twice
over, making absolutely positively sure
Did anyone else get one of these? It would appear as if someone sent an
infected email to the mailing list and I bounced it causing ezmlm to get
worried.
