Hello ClamAV-Users,
I am running Clam on a Gentoo box, However the latest version is not yet
in Portage...
Does anyone know how much of a mission it would be to "un-merge" my
current .80 version and install the latest from source ?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Just upgraded from 0.80 to 0.81rc1. I'm running
clamav-milter with these flags:
-HNPCol --internal --max-children=5 \
--quarantine=quart@
When 0.80 dectected an infected message, it'll direct
it to user 'quart'
0.81rc1 however, will detect the virus and when it
attempts to deliver it to

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm trying running clamd on the public

getting a 'bad file descriptor' error???

That's only possible with clamav-milter, AFAIK.

How specifically did you run configure, did you supply a --with-dbdir

Thanks to all who responded. This is now working.
Not quite sure what the problem was but I removed the packages that I had
installed after the last time I upgrade ClamAV on this server, then removed
and reinstalled Clam. It started first time.

happily.
I use Petr Kristof's spec file to build rpms, and it choked when it
found the docs/html directory to be missing. I edited the spec file to
fix it temporarily.
