Search the list archives. There are so many solutions like this

Hey folks
Love the ClamAV system - 25000+ Sobig.F viruses blocked across 6 servers in
3 days. *whew*
But begs the question:
As PostMaster of these servers we are blessed with bounces, re-mails and
the like WITH the viruses in them in a lot of cases.
I have most of these file types blocked by d

I'm using MailScanner with both ClamAV and McAfee and they're both detecting
it fine (and very frequently!).

Hi,
In testing clamd, I was able to get a virus through
unnoticed. This is basically due to the fact that clamav
doesn't process mime attachments very well and to make it
work properly, it relies on other programs extracting mime
attachments.
Here's my setup:

Thanks for the replies. Removing the -b option was the closest thing to
a solution. So much for trying to be helpful to others infected by
virusses that do not fake the message sender. A feature like that
reported about the qmail scanner would be nice. Any chance such a
feature will be included in

I hope to start work on Solaris 9 soon. As supplied Solaris 8 doesn't support
milters.

I have tried running clamd in local socket mode. The
first time it runs everything is ok, it creates the /var/run/clamd/clamd.socket.
Whenever I reboot the server and it trys to build the socket, I get the
error “ERROR: Socket file /var/run/clamd/clamd.socket already

Greetings,
I installed clamav to scan mails from work (I telework and the stupid company
doesn't scan emails for possible viruses) and doing a quick run of clamscan
indeed found one virus. The problem is we're dealing with a mailfile (mbox) and

Hi,
I'd like to do some statistics about scanned emails.
I use postfix + amavisd + clamav + cyrus.
Any hints?

Has anyone gotten the milter to compile on solaris?
The first hurdle is getopt/getoptlong. Solaris' getopt doesn't
include getoptlong.
I pointed the milter to ../clamscan to pick up getoptlong by
adding:
-I../clamscan
-L../clamscan
However, I'm still having problems with strerror_r. I added:
