I was not suggesting that such discussion should be omitted - only that it be 
carried out on the discussion list, not the virus database list.

I'm not sure I see the benefit of having two official discussion lists - 
clamav-users and clamav-virusdb, with a separate database announcement list.

Why not just one discussion list and one database list?
