It's impossible to do that either with Chirp or from the radio keypad.
The UV-82 is not capable of syncing the displays.

Thanks guys, I just tried the Menu 21 & 22 but as everyone else noticed the
frequency does not sync with the name. These radios may not have the software
in them to sync the name

Chris and Dan,
Tom gave you the way to do it from the keypad. You can also set the A & B
displays in chirp. But the radio itself is not capable of syncing the

Not all models of radios can chain the top and bottom displays together.
You have to see if that is a feature of your radio in the manual.
